- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Not much to say other than the fact that this institution provides an unparalleled educational experience and that my four formulative years here were fantastic!By Z, March 14, 2018
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I went with my boyfriend to have a couple of beers and to eat something. At the begining we forgot the passports in the hotel room (we are not US citizens), so the bartender told us that she needs the passports anyway. We understood that, we brought them from the hotel room and in the moment we sit at the bar, holding the passports, the manager came and said that they can not consider the passports as a real proof of our age. The reason was that they can not verify the reality of the passports!! So they kicked us out of the restaurant. The manager said 'I'm sorry guys, but I can't do anything about it. We can not serve you any type of alcohol.' I am 23 and my boyfriend is 24, and we showed them diferent types of identity cards, including the passports, which have the visas on them, they have everything. Anyway, we went out and told them that what they did is totally unfair for the people who is not american citizens. I asked them if they serve only the american citizens, and he said something like an yes, 'I am sorry about that, but I can not do anything'. So that's with the famous Ball State. We haven't met any restaurants in any country of this world that treats their guest like this and can not accept passports as a real proof of everything. Luckly, there is an indian restaurant in the same area, Akbar Restaurant, just across the street, where we enjoyed a great night!!By Erik Ehlenbach, January 03, 2018
- ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆I'm a BSU alumni! Professors are really caring and try to give their students real world experience. Some classes have volunteer requirements, which is nice for the Muncie community. Ball State has excellent nursing, education, and arch programs. The residence hall programs they have for freshman are great too! Check out Elliott hall if you a freshman looking for a dorm! It's really small, but you'll make some great friends and get to know everyone there! It's also like living in a castle! Food on campus is good(get the waffles at Noyer). Ball State pretty much has everything for any kind of person (nerds, musical prodigies, theater geeks, gamers, jocks, Christians, atheists, progressives, conservatives). It's a well rounded university and tuition isn't as bad as places like IU, IUPUI or Purdue. Give it a try :)By Jess OLeary, August 15, 2017
